The company

Pizarras Villar del Rey is engaged in mining, processing and distribution of slate in worldwide. From quarry of Pizarras Villar del Rey, leave annually more than 30,000 tons of finished products, exporting 90% of its production. We also have a wide range of quality products: floor tiles, work tops and tables, masonry, monoliths, crazy paving, product design y tiles.

Although associated with the multinational Belgian ETEX and British society Yates & Co, this international company has mostly Spanish capital.

Pizarras Villar del Rey S.L. was in 1995 the first spanish company to obtain the quality certificate ISO 9002, in promote and lead a European project for research and development CRAFT and conduct a European project of recovery of the Environment (Sustanaible post-industrial land restoration and recreation of high biodiversity natural habitats), addition to lead, organize and promote the first International Exhibition of Stone (PINAT) and the Spanish Federation Asociadicones of sector.

Today, is the first company of the sector in Extremadura with close to 200 employees.
